The Ministry of Ayush today organised a joint cleanliness activity under the ‘Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath’ initiative as part of the ongoing Swachhata Hi Sewa 2026 campaign. The cleanliness drive was held at the front lawn of Ayush Bhawan and was led by the Secretary, Ministry of Ayush, with Senior officials and staff of the Ministry participating in the activity.

The Ministry of Ayush is actively participating in the Swachhata Hi Sewa 2026 campaign being observed across Ministries and Departments of the Government of India from September 17 to October 2, 2026. In line with the campaign calendar, the Ministry has undertaken a range of activities focusing on cleanliness, workplace organisation, disposal of obsolete records and responsible waste management.

As part of the campaign, the Ministry has undertaken a comprehensive review of old physical files and records, with records that are no longer required being weeded out as per prescribed procedures. Electronic waste, including old computers, UPS systems, monitors and used printer cartridges, has also been segregated, with action for auction initiated in accordance with the applicable rules.

The Ministry has also organised a sports event for housekeeping staff.

The cleanliness initiatives undertaken by the Ministry during Swachhata Hi Sewa 2026 underscore the importance of collective participation in maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic workplace, while promoting systematic management of records and waste.
