Ahead of Vijayadashami, President Droupadi Murmu conveyed her best wishes to people across India.

In her Vijayadashami message, the President greeted Indians at home and overseas, saying, “On the auspicious occasion of Vijayadashami, I extend my heartfelt greetings to all Indians living in the country and abroad.

She described Vijayadashami as a celebration of Bhagwan Shri Ram's victory over Ravana. The President noted that Shri Ram represents righteous conduct and that the festival honours the victory of justice and Dharma over injustice and Adharma.

Reflecting on the values of duty and ethics in Indian culture, the President encouraged citizens to follow the ideals passed down through their traditions and help create an inclusive society and a Viksit Bharat.

She concluded her message with wishes for everyone's happiness, health and welfare on the festival”.
