In addition to the above cited consolidated remuneration, Senior Residents under the Residency Scheme (Clinical and Non-clinical) will be entitled to transport allowance and DA on transport allowance as per relevant rules from time to time. In the case of non-medical candidates, the Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA) will be deducted from the above-mentioned consolidated remuneration.

ESIC Medical College Kolkata Senior Resident Recruitment 2026 - Walkin for 85 Posts. Check the recruitment notification for post-wise vacancies, qualifications, age rules and selection stages. It is a walk-in recruitment drive conducted by ESI-PGIMSR, ESIC Medical College & Hospital and ODC (EZ) Joka, Kolkata to engage Senior Residents (3 years tenure) under the residency scheme on a contractual basis.
A total of 85 vacancies are available, comprising 17 vacancies for non-clinical departments and 68 vacancies for clinical and super specialty departments.
The walk-in interviews are scheduled for 03.11.2026 for Non-Clinical departments and 04.11.2026 for Clinical departments and Super Specialties.
Candidates must report between 09:30 AM and 10:30 AM at the Academic Block 2nd Floor of ESI-PGIMSR & ESIC Medical College, Joka. Candidates reporting beyond 10:30 AM will not be considered.
The upper age limit is 45 years for broad specialties, except for Anatomy, Biochemistry, and Physiology, where the upper age limit is 50 years as on the date of interview.
Candidates must possess a Medical PG Degree (MD/MS/DNB) in the concerned specialty from an MCI/NMC recognized institution, or a postgraduate medical degree in Master of Science with a PhD in Medical Anatomy, Biochemistry, or Physiology, along with valid medical council registration.
The selected Senior Residents will receive a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 1,50,294/- per month along with applicable transport allowances.
The application fee is Rs. 500/- for all other categories, while SC, ST, PWD, Women candidates, and Ex-servicemen are exempted (NIL fee). The fee must be paid via Demand Draft in favour of 'ESI Fund Account No. 1' payable at Kolkata.
