MCD Senior Residents Recruitment 2026 – Walkin for 33 Posts

The category-wise break-up for Obst. & Gynaecology is given in the official notice. The number of posts for all categories may increase or decrease, and the posts may also be withdrawn completely. Reservation of posts will be as per Govt. of India Rules.

Every vacancy is for the post of Senior Resident, filled for a period of 01 year on contract basis. The notice gives the department-wise vacancies according to the 200-point reservation chart. The notice prints a total of 33 vacancies. Dermatology and Psychiatry are listed with 0 vacancies.

The same qualification applies to every department. Annexure A (Recruitment Rules) prints it as follows:

• MBBS Degree from MCI/NMC Recognized University/Institution.
• PG degree/DNB/Diploma in concerned specialty from a recognized University/Institute registered with DMC/NMC.

The terms and conditions word it as: "MBBS with Post Graduate Degree/ D N B/Diploma/ or equivalent as per Residency Scheme in concerned speciality from a recognised University/Institute." The candidate must have valid registration with the Delhi Medical Council at the time of interview. Qualification and experience will be counted up to the date of interview. For PG/Diploma candidates, the engagement will be for a period of one year or until the posts are filled by a regular specialist through UPSC or on contract basis by MCD, whichever is earlier. The appointment and services will be governed under the Residency Scheme of the Govt. of India, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and its amendments, with relaxations as detailed in the eligibility criteria. Other service conditions will apply as prescribed from time to time by the Government of India. The engagement will not give the incumbent any claim or right to regular appointment to the post.
