Selected candidates will be placed as Executive Trainees during a one-year training period at an initial Basic Pay of ₹40,000 per month in the E-1 (IDA) pay scale of ₹40,000–₹1,40,000, along with applicable Industrial Dearness Allowance (IDA). It is a recruitment drive by Mineral Exploration and Consultancy Limited (MECL) to fill 13 Executive Trainee posts in Electrical and Mechanical disciplines, based on candidates' scores in the UPSC Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2024.
A total of 13 vacancies are available: 1 for Executive Trainee (Electrical) and 12 for Executive Trainee (Mechanical) across Procurement & Contract, Store & Disposal, and Drilling divisions.
Candidates need a minimum of 60% marks in B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering (for the Electrical post) or Mechanical Engineering (for the Mechanical posts), from a UGC/AICTE-recognized institute. No post-qualification experience is required.
The maximum age limit is 28 years (UR) as on 1 August 2026, with age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC-NCL, and additional relaxation for PwD and Ex-Servicemen candidates as per Government of India guidelines.
The application fee is ₹500 for General/OBC/EWS candidates. It is not applicable for SC/ST/PwD/Ex-Servicemen/Departmental candidates.
Candidates can apply online through the MECL Recruitment Portal at www.mecl.co.in under the Career section, between 1 August 2026 and 08 October 2026.
Selection is based solely on the candidate's UPSC ESE 2024 score (out of 1200), with shortlisting followed by a Document Verification round. No separate written test or personal interview is conducted by MECL.
Selected candidates receive an initial Basic Pay of ₹40,000 per month in the E-1 (IDA) pay scale of ₹40,000–₹1,40,000, along with IDA, HRA, PF, NPS, Performance Related Pay, medical insurance, and other benefits.
Yes. Selected candidates must serve a minimum of 36 months and execute a service bond of ₹1.8 lakh, with a monthly retention deduction of ₹5,000 from salary that is refunded on completion of the bond period.
