Overview

The Society for Centralized Recruitment of Staff in Subordinate Courts (S.S.S.C.), under the High Court of Punjab and Haryana, has invited online applications for 1270 Clerk posts in the District Courts of Punjab. Graduates (BA/BSc) who passed matriculation with Punjabi can apply online at sssc.gov.in from 7 October to 4 November 2026.

Selection is through a computer-based written test, a qualifying computer proficiency test (spreadsheet and English typing at 30 WPM) and document checking. Reservation, age relaxation and fee concessions apply only to residents of Punjab.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • A Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent) from a recognised university.
  • Matriculation passed with Punjabi as one of the subjects.
  • Proficiency in operating computers.
  • You must meet these conditions on the closing date of the online application.

Age Limit

  • Age is counted as on 01.01.2026. The minimum age is 18 years and the maximum is 37 years for the general category.
  • SC and BC/OBC of Punjab: 5 years relaxation.
  • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities of Punjab: 10 years relaxation.
  • Ex-servicemen of Punjab: years of military service plus 3 years.
  • In-service government and court employees: up to 45 years, as per the 1997 Rules.
  • Relaxation and reservation apply only to residents of Punjab; reserved-category candidates from other states must apply as Unreserved/General.
