The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), Government of India, has issued guidelines vide Office Memorandum No. Q-11/01/2026-O&M (e-10171) dated 13.08.2026 for the implementation of Special Campaign 6 from 2 October to 31 October 2026. The campaign aims to institutionalize Swachhata (cleanliness), optimize workspace utilization, reduce pendency and enhance administrative efficiency across Government offices.
In line with these objectives, the Department of Revenue (DoR) undertook focused initiatives to promote cleanliness, improve workplace efficiency, ensure systematic record management, facilitate e-waste disposal, reduce pendency and strengthen citizen-centric service delivery. These efforts reaffirm the Department’s commitment to transparent, responsive and accountable governance.
As part of Special Campaign 6, a cleanliness drive was conducted at the lawns near India Gate and within office premises. The Department has also made significant progress in reducing pendency and improving record management. Approximately 400 files were weeded out or closed, around 1836 public grievances were disposed of, and 5 references received from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) were addressed. Furthermore, revenue amounting to approximately ₹6,00,000/- was generated up to 31 October 2026 through campaign-related activities such as e-waste disposal & scrap disposal.
Special Campaign 6 extends beyond cleanliness to encompass the broader goals of administrative reform. Through the systematic decluttering of office spaces and processes, improved records management, timely disposal of pending matters and enhanced accountability, the Department of Revenue is working towards a more efficient, responsive and citizen-centric administrative ecosystem.
The Department remains committed to sustaining these initiatives and embedding the principles of Swachhata, efficiency and good governance into its day-to-day functioning.
