India Post and UTI Mutual Fund have further strengthened their longstanding partnership to expand investor outreach and improve access to mutual fund services across the country. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) extending the existing agreement was signed today by Shri Adnan Ahmed, Chief General Manager, Parcel & CCS Directorate, Department of Posts, and Shri Vetri Subramaniam, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, UTI Asset Management Company Limited, at the corporate office of UTI AMC in Mumbai.

Shri Adnan Ahmed, Chief General Manager, Department of Posts, and Shri Vetri Subramaniam, Managing Director & CEO, UTI AMC, during the MoU exchange to expand Pan-India KYC verification services.

The partnership reflects the shared commitment of India Post and UTI Mutual Fund in expanding access to financial services across the country. Under the Pan-India KYC Verification Project, India Post will leverage its extensive postal network and last-mile connectivity to facilitate Know Your Customer (KYC) verification at investors’ doorsteps, including in remote and underserved areas. The initiative aims to make the verification process more convenient while supporting compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.

Senior officials from the Department of Posts and UTI AMC during the meeting at UTI AMC’s Corporate Office in Mumbai on 29 October 2026.

Building on the earlier KYC remediation initiative, which helped investors complete pending KYC requirements, improve compliance and address documentation gaps, the expanded collaboration is expected to strengthen investor servicing, encourage wider participation in mutual funds and support uninterrupted access to mutual fund investments. The initiative reinforces India Post’s role in extending accessible and customer-centric financial services through its extensive nationwide network.
