The Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE), along with its Central Public Sector Undertakings (CPSUs) and Autonomous Institutes, is actively implementing Special Campaign 6.

The Ministry and its associated organisations have achieved approximately 60-70% progress against identified targets, with sustained efforts towards cleanliness, efficient record management, optimum utilisation of office space and disposal of pending matters.

Key activities include cleanliness drives in offices, corridors and canteens; review and weeding out of physical records; removal of redundant materials; and identification and disposal of e-waste in accordance with applicable guidelines.

The Ministry, its two CPSUs — Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA) and Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd. (SECI) and three Autonomous Institutes — National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE), National Institute of Wind Energy (NIWE) and Sardar Swaran Singh National Institute of Bio-Energy (SSS-NIBE) — are participating actively in the Campaign.

Launched by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), the campaign aims to institutionalise Swachhata and minimise pendency in Government offices. The Implementation Phase commenced on 2nd October, 2026, and will continue until 31st October, 2026.

MNRE remains committed to achieving the identified targets by 31st October, 2026, and sustaining the culture of cleanliness, accountability and efficient workplace management beyond the Campaign period.
