An incident of water ingress occurred onboard INS Kesari in the afternoon of 31 Oct 2026. The ship was berthed alongside at the Naval Dockyard in Visakhapatnam at the time of the incident.
No loss of life or injuries to personnel has been reported. Operations for pumping out the water from the affected compartments are actively underway.
The situation is being closely monitored and a formal inquiry will be initiated to ascertain the exact cause of the incident.
