The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) observed Vigilance Awareness Week 2026 from 26th October to 1st November 2026, in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC). This year’s theme was “Probity for Prosperity” (सत्यनिष्ठा से समृद्धि). In line with the Commission’s advisory, the Ministry also undertook a three-month preventive vigilance campaign from 17th August to 16th November 2026, focusing on expeditious disposal of pending complaints and cases, capacity-building programmes, digital initiatives, and contract management.

The week-long observance commenced on 26th October 2026 with the Secretary, Ministry of MSME, Shri Bharat Khera, administering the Integrity Pledge to the officers and staff of the Ministry at Kartavya Bhawan-3, New Delhi. More than 500 officials from the Ministry and its organisations participated in the pledge-taking ceremony in hybrid mode, reaffirming their commitment to integrity, transparency and probity in public service.

As part of the observance, Quiz and Slogan Writing competitions were organised for the officials of the Ministry on 26th October 2026. The competitions witnessed enthusiastic participation and aimed at fostering greater awareness of integrity, transparency, probity and ethical conduct in the discharge of official responsibilities.

The central event marking the culmination of the week-long observance was held on 30th October 2026 under the Chair of Secretary. The event was attended by more than 300 officials of the Ministry and its organisations and field offices across the country through hybrid mode. On the occasion, the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), MSME, made a presentation highlighting the preventive vigilance initiatives undertaken by the Ministry during the three-month campaign. Secretary (MSME) also felicitated the winners of the Quiz and Slogan Writing competitions and emphasised the importance of imbibing the values of integrity, transparency and accountability embodied in the theme “Probity for Prosperity”.

Further reinforcing the message of vigilance and ethical conduct, a Nukkad Natak was staged by a team from the National School of Drama (NSD) on 30th October 2026 at Kartavya Bhawan-3, New Delhi. Based on the theme “Probity for Prosperity”, the performance highlighted the importance of adherence to Conduct Rules, continuous upgradation of knowledge and effective use of the whistleblower mechanism in preventing and combating corruption. More than 300 officials from various Ministries and Departments witnessed the performance.

Through the observance of Vigilance Awareness Week 2026 and the ongoing preventive vigilance campaign, the Ministry of MSME reiterated its commitment to strengthening transparency, accountability and integrity in governance. The initiatives undertaken during the period reaffirm the Ministry’s resolve to promote a culture of ethical conduct and preventive vigilance, contributing towards a transparent, accountable and prosperous nation.
