The online ‘Nasha Mukt Yuva, Viksit Bharat Quiz’ has witnessed an encouraging response, with participation crossing 16,517 citizens as of November 5, 2026. The growing participation reflects increasing public engagement, particularly among young people, in the collective endeavour of building a drug-free India.

The quiz was launched on October 26, 2026, by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA). The initiative aims to promote awareness about the harmful effects of substance use and encourage citizens, especially youth, to actively contribute towards creating a Nasha Mukt Bharat.

The quiz is being conducted from October 26 to November 25, 2026, and is open to all citizens. Participants can access the quiz through the MY Bharat portal.

Launched on August 15, 2020, the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan aims to strengthen drug demand reduction efforts through preventive education, awareness generation, treatment, rehabilitation and community participation. Initially launched in 272 vulnerable districts, the Abhiyaan has since expanded its reach to cover all districts across the country.

The campaign has reached over 35.09 crore people, including 13.99 crore youth and 10.91 crore women, reflecting the nationwide scale of its awareness and outreach initiatives.

Under the Abhiyaan, over 32.43 lakh activities have been conducted in educational institutions, while 39.91 lakh persons have been treated and rehabilitated through a network of more than 755 Department of Social Justice and Empowerment (DoSJE)-supported de-addiction centres working across the country. The total number of Nasha Mukt pledges taken has crossed 45.07 lakh, with more than 2 lakh Nasha Mukti Mitras registered.

As the Abhiyaan enters its seventh year, the quiz seeks to deepen public understanding of the harmful effects of substance use, promote informed decision-making and encourage young people to become active ambassadors of awareness and prevention. The initiative reinforces the vision of a Nasha Mukt Bharat and Viksit Bharat, recognising the importance of healthy individuals, families and communities in the country's development.

The quiz comprises 20 Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs), which participants are required to answer within 10 minutes. A participation certificate is generated for every participant who successfully submits the quiz.

Participants can also view the correct answers upon completion, enabling them to enhance their understanding of substance use prevention.

Through this digital initiative, the Ministry aims to strengthen community participation, encourage responsible choices and mobilise citizens, especially youth, to contribute to the movement against substance use.

The Ministry encourages all citizens, particularly young people, to participate in the ‘Nasha Mukt Yuva, Viksit Bharat Quiz’ before November 25, 2026, and become active contributors to the collective vision of a drug-free India.
