The President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu graced Balidan Shatabdi Samaroh of Swami Shraddhanand Ji at Gurukul, Kurukshetra, Haryana today (November 1, 2026).

Speaking on the occasion, the President paid her tribute to Swami Shraddhanand Ji on the 100th anniversary of his martyrdom. She said that his life journey from Munshiram to Mahatma Munshiram and eventually to Swami Shraddhanand is deeply inspiring.

The President said that Swami Shraddhanand Ji had dedicated his life to the service of the Vedas and the upliftment of society. His life journey and sacrifice are a source of inspiration for all of us.

He made tireless efforts to revive the ancient Aryan system of education, a cause championed by Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati, the founder of the Arya Samaj.

The President said that the Centenary Year of Swami Shraddhanand Ji’s martyrdom serves as an opportunity to draw lessons from his inspiring life, his educational and social philosophy, and his dedication and sacrifice for the nation.
