  • Qualification: MBBS degree from a recognised medical college, as per NMC regulations.
  • Registration: a valid Maharashtra Medical Council registration is required.
  • Age limit: up to 70 years, with reference to the NMC gazette dated 30-05-2025.
  • Additional qualification: MD, MS, DM, MCh, DNB or CPS in the concerned subject is preferred over an MBBS-only candidate, as per the merit rules.

Selection Process

  1. The notice describes a purely merit-based selection on MBBS marks. A written test or interview is not mentioned in the notice
  2. Candidates are ranked by their combined percentage across all MBBS examinations (First, Second and Third MBBS, Part I and II)
  3. If marks tie, the candidate from the older admission batch is preferred
  4. If the tie continues, the older candidate by date of birth is preferred
  5. Posts are allotted using the merit list and the preferences the candidate fills online. An allotment letter is sent to the registered email ID
  6. Selected candidates receive an automated email and SMS, and must join within 7 days of allotment
