The Ministry of Textiles carried out a deep-cleaning drive at the 5th floor of GPOA Tower-3 in New Delhi under Special Campaign 6.0. The work covered employee desks, shared spaces and other office areas, with attention to dust removal, unwanted material and effective use of space. The ministry links this activity with its wider emphasis on responsible waste management, textile-waste collection and circularity.
The drive encouraged staff to take shared responsibility for orderly and hygienic surroundings. Special Campaign 6.0 combines cleaning with better space management and the removal of redundant materials. Through these efforts, the ministry seeks to make sustainable housekeeping part of routine office work and support a healthier, more productive environment.
The cleaning work and its review covered the following areas:
Senior officers reviewed preparations and results, monitoring standards before and after the drive and checking that the activity was carried out effectively.
Teams used mechanised scrubbing and deep-cleaning equipment on corridors, passageways and common floors to improve the condition of shared circulation areas.
Conference-room maintenance included shampooing and vacuuming carpets, alongside cleaning the furniture used in senior-level meetings.
Detailed surface cleaning covered wooden wall panels, screens, ceiling grids and lighting fixtures, with dusting and polishing of fittings throughout the office.
Workstations were reorganised and equipment cleaned. Staff also removed clutter and addressed waste handling so that available desk and office space could be used more effectively.
Employees were encouraged to maintain the results through daily housekeeping and habits that support an orderly, clean and environmentally responsible workplace.
