The Ministry of Tourism is using the Special Campaign for Disposal of Pending Matters (SCDPM) 6.0 to improve cleanliness and workplace efficiency. The initiative also seeks faster disposal of pending work across ministry offices and institutions.
Participating bodies include India Tourism Offices, Institutes of Hotel Management (IHMs), the Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM), India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) and the ministry's programme divisions.
The ministry has uploaded 5,654 targets to the SCDPM portal. These include 212 cleaning sites, along with review of more than 3,006 physical files and 2,366 e-office files.
According to the reported progress, 3,563 activities have been completed. They have freed 62,691 square feet of office space and generated ₹64,58,145 through scrap disposal.
Progress is monitored regularly and recorded on the SCDPM portal maintained by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG).
The ministry and its field offices and institutions are sharing Special Campaign 6.0 activities on social media. The outreach is intended to improve awareness and encourage wider participation in cleanliness initiatives.
