SAEINDIA will organise APAC 23, the 23rd Asia Pacific Automotive Engineering Conference 2026, at New Delhi’s Yashobhoomi Convention Centre from 13–14 November 2026. The event will bring the region’s automotive and mobility engineering community to India.

APAC 23 takes “Xellerating towards Safe, Secure, Sustainable & Intelligent Mobility” as its theme. Engineers, researchers, technology businesses, policymakers, academics and startups will meet to share ideas and explore emerging mobility solutions.

This will be India’s second time hosting the conference, following a gap of 15 years. The return gives Indian engineering organisations a forum to engage with regional partners on the future of transport.

A regional engineering network

The forum began in 1981 as the International Pacific Conference. It now represents 11 Asia-Pacific countries and supports technical exchange, international partnerships and discussion of challenges facing automotive engineering.

APAC 23 will examine the effects of electrification, software, AI, connectivity and automation on mobility. Sustainability and changing safety requirements will also shape discussion of practical engineering solutions.

Expected participation and technical programme

Organisers expect APAC 23 to draw more than 1,000 delegates and 500 mobility experts. Participants will include vehicle manufacturers, component suppliers, technology and engineering firms, universities, research bodies, startups and public authorities.

The two-day programme is expected to offer over 150 technical presentations and 80 exhibitors. It combines knowledge sharing and demonstrations with business networking and opportunities for cross-border collaboration.

Technical sessions at APAC 23 will explore engineering issues influencing the next generation of transport. The announced areas include the following topics.

Vehicles shaped by software and digital platforms

Energy use, emissions, life-cycle assessment and regulatory standards

Exhibitions and demonstrations alongside conference sessions

APAC 23 combines plenary and technical sessions with an exposition, TechHive, Technology Theatre and business networking. The format allows delegates to see innovations as well as discuss the engineering behind them.

At the APAC 23 Exposition, organisations can demonstrate products, technical capabilities and future mobility solutions to industry specialists and decision-makers.

The Technology Theatre will sit within the exposition. Its interactive format will let organisations explain new products, technologies and engineering developments directly to delegates.

A platform for emerging mobility businesses

TechHive is a dedicated startup initiative within APAC 23. It is designed to connect new mobility ventures with established automotive businesses and institutions.

Participating startups can demonstrate their innovations and meet industry leaders, technical experts, investors, prospective customers and collaborators. The platform also offers visibility within the regional mobility community.

Through TechHive, APAC 23 aims to connect new ideas with established industry capabilities. Partnerships formed there could help move technologies from concepts towards practical use.

India’s manufacturing base, engineering workforce, startups and investment in electric, connected and sustainable transport provide the backdrop for the event. By returning after 15 years, the conference seeks to encourage technology exchange, research partnerships and business engagement with the wider Asia-Pacific region.

How organisations can take part

SAEINDIA has invited professionals and organisations to participate in APAC 23 as delegates, sponsors, exhibitors or TechHive participants.

The programme offers a focused setting to present engineering strengths, meet mobility-sector decision-makers and develop partnerships. Participants can also contribute to discussion of the region’s future transport technologies.
