More than 250 Department of Rural Development staff, including Safai Karamcharis, attended a health check-up camp at Kartavya Bhavan, New Delhi, on 22 October 2026. The department, under the Ministry of Rural Development, organised the programme with the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.
The camp formed part of Special Campaign 6.0, observed from 2 October to 31 October 2026. It focused particularly on outsourced staff and sanitation workers, encouraging health awareness, preventive care and regular check-ups.
Services included blood pressure and random blood sugar testing, general eye and ear-nose-throat checks, and consultation with a general physician.
Other departmental activities during the campaign address workplace cleanliness, pending matters, public grievances and improved management of physical and digital records. The effort aims to make Swachhata part of everyday work.
Through Special Campaign 6.0, the department is linking employee well-being with a clean, efficient and people-centred workplace.
