DARPG Secretary Nivedita Shukla Verma reviewed Special Campaign 6 during visits to Railway and Finance Ministry field offices in Mumbai on 22 October 2026. Her assessment covered office cleanliness, better use of space, removal of outdated records and materials, and sustainable workplace practices.
At Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, she examined passenger amenities, main-line platforms, ticketing arrangements and the heritage building. She spoke with commuters through Rail Jan Samvad under Special Campaign 6, assessing how improvements were affecting public services. DARPG Additional Secretary Puneet Yadav, Central Railway General Manager Rajeev Srivastava and senior railway officials attended.
At SBI’s Corporate Centre in State Bank Bhavan, bank management presented its progress under Special Campaign 6. Verma and SBI Chairperson C. S. Setty released an e-book on cyber fraud awareness to encourage safer digital behaviour and help people recognise fraud risks.
She also inspected Punarnava, a sculpture made from discarded electronic materials at the building’s entrance. The installation illustrates creative reuse of e-waste. A visit to the SBI auditorium renovated under Special Campaign 6 highlighted how existing office infrastructure can be put to better use.
Special Campaign 6 promotes routine cleanliness, disposal of obsolete records, recovery of underused space and scientific waste handling. Recycling electronic waste forms part of its wider emphasis on environmental responsibility and efficient resource management in public institutions.
The inspections highlighted the importance of regular monitoring and practical follow-through under Special Campaign 6. Sustainable working practices and effective implementation are intended to turn the campaign’s goals into visible improvements in local offices.
