On October 19, 2026, Defence Secretary Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh unveiled updated online portals for the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and the Department of Defence (DoD). Designed to be easier to navigate and access, the sites meet the requirements of the Digital Brand Identity Manual (DBIM) 3.0 as well as the Guidelines for Indian Government Websites (GIGW) 3.0.

Visitors can use these portals to find Ministry of Defence announcements, policy information, ongoing initiatives, activities and other defence resources. To make this information accessible to a broader audience, the sites offer content in 22 Indian official languages. The online address is www.mod.gov.in.

The revamped digital services support the government's Digital India and e-Governance objectives. Their focus is on making public information easier to access while improving transparency, service efficiency and security through modern online infrastructure.
